Return & Warranty

Returns:
  • We want you to be satisfied with your purchases, if for any reason you want to return your purchase for a refund within 30 days. Please email us for an authorized return number.
  • To be eligible for a return, items must be in original, resellable condition and returned with all original packaging.

Returns will not be accepted if the item shows any signs of installation, use, modification, or damage, including but not limited to:

  • Missing labels, stickers, or serial tags
  • Cut, shortened, spliced, or altered wires/cables
  • Scratches, marks, or mounting/installation signs
  • Missing parts, accessories, or packaging materials

Items that do not meet these conditions will be deemed non-returnable and no refund will be issued. If you request the item to be shipped back to you, you will be responsible for the return shipping cost.

  • Consider using a traceable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance
  • Customers must securely pack and cover the return shipping costs of their item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a return shipping label is provided, the label cost will be deducted from the refund.
  • We offer free outbound shipping and or any applied promotion/discount on qualifying orders. If items from an order are returned and the return causes the order to no longer meet the free-shipping and discount qualification, the actual outbound shipping cost we paid and/or discount will be deducted from the refund.
  • Returns on items not in original condition may incur a 15% restocking fee, as well as unwanted items not at our fault, bulk purchases or an excess quantity of 10 or more to cover handling, inspection, and repackaging costs..

This applies in the following situations:

  • Returning most of an order while keeping only a small portion
  • Returns that reduce the kept merchandise below the free-shipping threshold
  • Returns that reduce the order below a promotional or discount qualification level
  • Bulk or project-quantity purchases where most items are returned
  • Items returned due to buyer preference, over-ordering, or no longer needed
  • Orders placed to “test” products in large quantities

The restocking fee and original outbound shipping cost are deducted from the refund amount.

Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped.

We recommend ordering quantities reasonably needed for your project. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we are happy to help.

Refunds
  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you for the refund amount that we have received your returned item. In the event of rejection return product we will also notify you.
  • Upon approval, your refund will be processed, minus shipping charges. If the order had free shipping, a deduction equivalent to the original shipping cost will be applied. Credit will automatically be issued to your credit card or original payment method within a specified timeframe.

  • Wire transfer refunds, a $35 incoming bank fee and a $35 outgoing bank fee will be deducted from your total refund amount

Late or missing refunds
  • If you haven’t received a refund, confirm with your bank and credit card company. Allow time for processing. If no refund, contact us at support@ledupdates.com.

Replacement Policy 

We will replace items if they arrive defective or damaged. For an exchange of the same item, please email us at support@ledupdates.com and please include your order number in the subject. The arrival time of your exchanged product may vary based on your location.

1. Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please notify us within 15 days of delivery. To expedite your request for a replacement or refund, we require the following:

  • Visual Proof: Clear photos or a short video showing the defect or damage.

  • Packaging: Photos of the shipping box (if the damage occurred during transit).

  • Order Info: Your order number and a brief description of the issue.

2. Our "Return-to-Replace" Policy

To maintain the highest quality standards, LEDupdates generally requires that defective items be returned to our warehouse for inspection before a replacement or refund is issued.

  • Prepaid Labels: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label for all verified defective items.

  • Inspection: Once the item is received and inspected, your replacement will be shipped within 48 hours

3. Exceptions (No-Return Replacements)

In specific cases, such as for low-value items or items where the cost of shipping exceeds the item’s value, we may waive the return requirement at our sole discretion. This is handled on a case-by-case basis and requires the visual proof mentioned in Section 1.

4. Limitations

We cannot offer replacements or refunds for:

  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling.

  • Requests made after 30 days of purchase.

  • Items where visual proof of the defect cannot be provided.

Warranty:

All LEDupdates products have a 1-year warranty unless specified on the product page. Branded items are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, starting from the original shipment date. If replaced or repaired, the warranty period does not reset.

This Warranty does not apply to any of the following situations:

  • Products that have been modified, adjusted, or repaired by the customer;
  • Products that have been subjected to misuse, mishandling, misapplication, or accident;
  • Products that are damaged due to improper configuration, design, and/or layout;
  • Products that are damaged due to improper installation or connection;
  • Products used in an inappropriate location or in environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, moisture, etc.) outside the normal specified range;
  • Electrical power surges and spikes;
  • Damage from lightning, high winds, hail, flooding, tornado, fire, or other “acts of god.”
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for any warranty claim. Please call or email us for a warranty return authorization number before returning any item.  

ledupdates.com in its sole discretion, (i) repair any product, (ii) provide a replacement, or (iii) elect to reimburse the amount of the original purchase price.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SELLER BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL, COMPENSATORY, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR OTHER DAMAGES. SELLER’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT SHALL BE RESTRICTED TO THE AMOUNT PAID TO SELLER FOR THAT PRODUCT.
